چکیده

Essential oils (EOs) prepared from the fresh and dried stems of Commiphora gileadensis were compared qualitatively quantitatively. Although components closely similar, amount oil decreased 2.23 to 1.77% upon drying. Both samples showed equal potencies in antimicrobial testing. The chloroform extract (CE) with reported activity was EO sample for wound healing potential. For assay, 11 mm-diameter full-thickness skin excision wounds made on backs four groups rats (n = 6). negative control group I treated cream base. Group II 2% Fucidin cream, which served as a reference, III IV 1% EO- 3% CE-containing creams, respectively. Treatments applied topically one time daily. potential evaluated by recording contraction percentages, epithelialization period, histopathological changes wounds. topical application CE significantly promoted rats. effectiveness demonstrated through speed shortening period an animal when NC group. Histopathological studies cream-treated also expressed improving process. These findings suggested that can enhance process
